At a glance
Visit and measurement, written quote, permit, setting out and excavation, base, wall erection, pipework, concrete ring and backfill, membrane, filling and handover. Work on site takes a few weeks.
1–3. Visit, quote, paperwork
We come, measure, look at the ground, access, electricity and water. We send you a written quote with a drawing. Once we agree, the engineer prepares the approval. Meanwhile walls and membrane are ordered.
4–5. Excavation and base
We set the pool out on the ground and dig slightly larger than its dimensions, to make room for buttresses and pipes. The floor is shaped and smoothed. Details in excavation and base.

6–7. Walls and pipework
The steel walls are erected, bolted and levelled. Skimmers, inlets and lights go in, and the pipes run to the plant room, where they are pressure-tested before being covered.

8. Concrete ring and backfill
A concrete ring ties in the base of the buttresses. Then the space round the walls is backfilled slowly and in layers, so the soil settles properly.
9. Membrane
The floor is cleaned, a geotextile is laid and the membrane, cut to size, goes in. Seams are heat-welded and the membrane is drawn tight by suction before any water goes in.

10. Filling and handover
We fill, start the equipment, set the chemistry and the programmes. At handover we show you everything: filter, backwashing, testing, winter closing.
